Talisman Desktop is a desktop alternative for Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP. Using "Talisman", you can build any interface for your computer. "Talisman" hides the standard desktop of Windows. In the "Talisman" workspace, you can place any number of icons, buttons, pictures or other objects. These Objects can have any form or dimensions. You can also change the Talisman Desktop from Application Mode to Shell Mode or reverse the operation.
You can choose from hundreds of themes, and you can customize your taskbar by adding media player controls, Google searchbar, calendar and lots of other items. new Theme Manager, automatic installation of downloaded themes. This version comes along with a new Calculator object, new functions for Calendar and List objects, support of audio playlists, many other new functions, commands and bug fixes
Pluses: You can also use Talisman as your default shell instead the Windows Explorer. Talisman includes a skinnable task bar which contains the tray area, the task menu button, the clock, and a small button for moving the taskbar's panel.
Drawbacks / flaws: Might create system instability or crashes on some machines.
