Absolute Video Converter is another successful 'iaudiosoft' release. The program is designed to convert video files, to extract audio from video files and to extract images from video.
The interface has a nice design and large buttons for performing each operation. The conversion process is easy to complete. Add the selected files, select the target and the output format and hit 'Convert'. Advanced users can use the default output settings, while advanced users can choose custom settings for each type of output files. The handled video formats are as follows: VCD, SVCD, DVD, MPEG, AVI (Divx, Xvid), WMV/ASF.
In order to extract audio from video, you need to select the source file, select the output format and settings and proceed. You can also select the start end end time of an excerpt to be extracted instead of the entire file. Output audio formats handled: WAV, MP3, WMA.
The process of extraction of images from video files is very similar to extracting video from audio files. The graphics will be saved in BMP format.
The program performed flawlessly each and every operation. The interface is good looking: you can choose one of the two skins available and, depending on the chosen file format, the advanced users have access to advanced output file settings such as: video size and framerate, audio bitrate and compressor, video compressor, etc.
Pluses: The option to preview all the file types in the inbuilt player; the batch processing capabilities of the program.
