MemoryDef is supposed to free up your system resources (RAM). It doesn't come with an installation package, nor does it need to install anything on your computer. It's true that it doesn't modify any Windows registry keys (unless you set it to run on startup), however the vendor's description that it will "help you a lot" is not so true.
I copied the program to a folder on my hard disk and I was eager to see my system's speed drastically increase after running it. When I first started MemoryDef I only saw that my system was slower and slower by the minute and I couldn't realize where the program I had just started dissappeared. I found it in the system tray and immediately clicked its icon to see what it was doing to my system. The software's progress bar showed me that it was working. I let it finish the job, although my computer was slower than before. MemoryDef freed up about half of my computer's memory (RAM), but at what cost...
The user interface is very simple, having only two buttons: "Start" and "Cancel". If you try to click the "Cancel" button while the program is working you'll almost surely have to restart your computer. I know I had to. Support is inexistent and the program's website is full of commercials and doesn't contain any useful
information.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: The program uses your computer's resources in a way that might freeze your system altogether.
In conclusion: I wouldn't try to run this program again. Maybe its next version will be better.
