PC Backup is a data backup and disaster recovery program. It will help you keep your files safe from damage, prevent data loss or destruction and startup your system in case of a serious OS failure.
During the installation process, you can choose to install the program for a local system account or a domain (specifying the username and password). You can backup and restore files, folders or entire partitions. The possibility to schedule backups allows you you to keep your system safe even when you are away from your desktop. The backup process is fast enough (we backed up a partition containing 32533 files in amount of 8,05 GB in 17 minutes) and you can use the program to verify the integrity of the backup.
You can create full backups, differential backups, incremental backups or system snapshots. The backups can be stored on local disks, removable devices, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, Tape drives.
You can edit the lists of files excluded or included in the backup; you can choose to create detailed logs and send them as emails. As for data protection, backups can be compressed, encrypted and password protected with passwords with lengths between 8 and 20 characters.
The interface is simple, yet very well designed which makes PC Backup easy to use even for beginners. It includes wizards designed to help you carry out any operation performed by the program.
Pluses: Among the interesting and useful options we may mention: Antivirus scanning of files before backup, with the possibility of ignoring an infected file; the possibility of automatically running other programs before or after the backup has been created.
