Scan your ports or your local area networked workstations' ports and secure them against unauthorized intrusions with Scanmetender. You can perform TCP/UDP protocol scans of a single IP or of a range of IPs by simply specifying the starting IP and the ending IP of the range. You can also check if your firewall is correctly setup and protects you from intrusions and malware.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Regarding the port scanning process, I scanned a system running Apache and MySQL servers on two ports, but the scanning process showed only that the ports are open, it didn't show any process running; I tested the Firewall Scanner with Zone Alarm Security Suite 6.1.744.000; the firewall detected the intrusion attempt sent by the Firewall Scanner and blocked it, while the Scanmetender reported that my firewall is not working properly and should be reconfigured, besides a couple of crashes. To end with the drawbacks we I even found a couple of spelling errors in the interface.
In conclusion: Poor to average, sounds interesting, has a very nice interface, but acts poorly and it doesn't have a good stability.
