MaxType is a learning tool that will help you improve your typing speed and accuracy, fast and in a funny way. It has a multi-user interface, so that each user can create a password-protected account, and specify his/her own settings.
The Pro version has 6 different learning modes, that will make the process interesting. There are 21 lessons that have an information, adaptation, improvisation and realization part. You will learn to position your fingers correctly while typing, and you'll have statistics for each hand, such as: accuracy, mistypes and average speed, as well as general statistics. MaxType has many lyrics that you can exercise your typing after, before you continue to the testing part.
There are rewards awaiting, such as medals and grades, if you perform well to the exams . If you feel like challenging a colleague to a typing contest, you can do that by selecting your role ( client or server), and then inputting the opponent's IP. This is fun!
Pluses: MaxType provides information of how to position your body and hands, and describes the fundamentals of touch-typing, so that you should do less mistakes when typing.
