If you need a cool application, PicLighter (3D picture viewer) is one of those softwares that look very good but are not so useful. Using OpenGL library, you can view your pictures in a 3D environment. It gives you the sensation that you can feel them. Using a motion effect, the preview of the pictures gives the feeling that you can manipulate them in real time.
The application is very good for presentations of photographic materials or to be used with touch-screen to create a spectacular viewing effect. The application can load up to 100 simultaneous pictures and slide them in the 3D environment.
PicLighter also includes some effects like Cosine, Lanczos, Mitchell, Draft or Linear for viewing the picture and also Zoom in and out effects. The application requires OpenGL.
